Garuda Indonesia is Indonesia’s national airline International Airport in Jakarta. It is currently the second-largest airline in Indonesia, Lion Air.
The airline has a rich history that dates back to its foundation in 1947 as KLM Interinsulair Bedrijf. In December 1949, it was nationalised and rebranded as Garuda Indonesian Airways. During its early years, Garuda operated flights for national interests, including carrying diplomats.
